Antonov plc is a United Kingdom-based manufacturing company engaged in the development and commercialization of automatic transmission concept for use in all forms of vehicles. The Company's Antonov Automatic Drive (AAD) technology is a low-weight concept offering high fuel efficiency. It is capable of universal applications, not limited to any engine torque category. The AAD uses conventional components and manufacturing technologies. The electronic control function in the AAD is achieved by altering the balance between the axial and centrifugal forces. This gives full flexibility in scheduling upshifts and downshifts, as well as the mode of shifting. The AAD principle is applicable to a range of vehicles and technologies both on and off the road and to other applications.
